First Aid Training

This First Aid Training course is required by law for an individual to apply for a licence to work as a door supervisor.

Businesses selling alcohol—whether small pubs, retailers, large nightclubs, cafes, restaurants, hotels, or sports facilities—are required to have trained security staff qualified as door supervisors. To work as a door supervisor, individuals must hold a First Aid Licence. Completing the First Aid Training course is a legal requirement for anyone applying for this licence.

First Aid Training Duration

This is a six-day course with a mandatory self-study component and 9 hours of in-classroom training.

First Aid Training Assessment

4 Multiple-choice exams & practical assessments. Here are the details for the MCQ exams :

► Unit 1 (72 questions) Pass mark = 70% ► Unit 2 (50 questions) Pass mark = 70% ► Unit 3 (20 questions) Pass mark = 70% ► Unit 4 (30 questions) Pass mark = 80%

First Aid Training Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive the First Aid Training in the Private Security Industry certificate.

First Aid Training Requirements

To qualify for an SIA Training, you must:
    • Be 18 years or older
    • Have no criminal records
    • Have a Lukas-recognised qualification
    • A valid passport or a current UK Driving Licence
    • An HSE-compliant Emergency First Aid/First Aid at Work certificate
    • Two proofs of address such as utility bills or separate bank statements
    • Lukas Door Supervisor Exam
